- Customers: Individuals who register to browse, order, and receive products via our Services.
- Delivery Partners: Individuals who are onboarded with Meatyum to provide delivery services, whether as employees or independent contractors.

By accessing our platform, creating an account, or using our Services, you voluntarily consent to the practices described in this Policy. You acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account, although this will affect your ability to use our Services.
4. Information We Collect
A. For Our Customers:
- Account & Profile Information: Your name, email address, mobile number, delivery address(es), and encrypted password.
- Order & Transactional Information: Details of products you purchase, transaction amounts, dates, and payment methods. We partner with secure payment gateways to process payments. We do not store your full card details or UPI information on our servers.
- Support Communications: When you use our in-app "Help & Support" feature, we collect the content of your queries and our correspondence with you.
- Usage and Device Information: We use PostHog and Google Analytics to collect data such as your IP address, device type, operating system, and browsing activity to understand user behavior and improve our Services.
- Future User-Generated Content: If you choose to submit reviews, ratings, or photos in the future, we will collect that information.
B. For Our Delivery Partners:
- Identity & Onboarding Information: Your name, mobile number, address, a copy of your government-issued identification (e.g., Aadhaar, PAN card), driver's license, vehicle details, and bank account information for payment purposes. This may be considered Sensitive Personal Data, and we collect it solely for verification, onboarding, and legal compliance.
- Live Location Data: We collect your precise location data via the partner app when it is active. This is essential for assigning deliveries, tracking active orders for customers, and ensuring safety. Location tracking is active only during your working hours on our platform.
- Device Information: IP address, device type, and operating system of the device running the partner app.
5. How We Use Your Information
A. For Our Customers:
- Service Fulfillment: To create and maintain your account, process orders, accept payments, and facilitate deliveries through our in-house delivery team.
- Communication: To send you transactional SMS, emails, and push notifications regarding your order status (e.g., confirmation, out for delivery, delivered). These are primarily powered by our in-house technology to minimize third-party data exposure.
- Customer Support: To address your questions, feedback, and resolve issues effectively.
- Marketing & Advertising: To run advertising campaigns on platforms like Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and Google (Search, YouTube) to reach potential new customers. Without identifying you personally, we may use your information to provide updates on our service offerings and promotional schemes through third party advertising partners (TPAP). Our TPAP may use cookies on our website as well as third party websites and social media platforms to understand customer interests to provide updates on our latest service offerings and promotional schemes that are akin to your interests. Our TPAP provide you with complete control over ads experience and you can remove ads shown to you.
- Improvement & Personalization: To analyze usage patterns, fix bugs, and enhance the overall user experience.
B. For Our Delivery Partners:
- Onboarding & Account Management: To verify your identity, set up your partner account, and manage your profile.
- Order Assignment & Logistics: To assign deliveries to you based on your location and availability and to provide customers with real-time tracking.
- Payments & Payouts: To process your earnings and transfer them to your bank account.
- Safety & Security: To monitor deliveries for safety purposes for both you and the customer.
6. How We Share Your Information
We value your privacy and limit data sharing.
- Payment Gateways: To process transactions.
- Advertising Platforms: We may share a device identifier or other non-personally identifiable information with Meta and Google to facilitate our marketing campaigns and measure their effectiveness. We do not share your name, phone number, or address with them.
- Legal Authorities: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to a valid legal request from law enforcement or government agencies.
7. Data Retention
If you choose to delete your account via the "Delete Account" option in the app's profile section, we will initiate the deletion of your personal data. Most of your information will be deleted or anonymized within 14 to 28 days. However, we may retain certain transactional data for a longer period as required by Indian tax, commercial, and other applicable laws.
8. Security of Your Information
We have implemented robust security measures to protect your data:
- Encryption: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is protected using industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption. Sensitive information is also encrypted at rest in our databases.
- Access Control: We enforce strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) within our organization. Only authorized personnel with a legitimate business need can access your personal data.

C. Your Choices You can control and manage cookies in various ways. Most browsers allow you to refuse or accept cookies, or to delete them. Please note that if you block or delete necessary cookies, some parts of our Services may not function correctly.
10. Your Rights, Choices and Responsibilities
- Access & Correction: You can review and update your profile information directly within the app.
- Data Erasure: You can request the permanent deletion of your account by navigating to the "Profile" section of our mobile application and selecting "Delete Account."
- Rights of Delivery Partners: Delivery Partners have the right to access and update their information and to request account deletion, subject to legal and contractual obligations.
- Responsibilities: While we implement robust security measures to protect your account, your security is a shared responsibility. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password, OTPs, and other login credentials. Never share this information with anyone. Meatyum cannot be held liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your account information secure. Please notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized use of your account.
11. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy here and updating the "Last Updated" date.
